Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 October 2026

Keuer Solutions Pty Ltd (ABN 48 698 704 853) trading as LandMate (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the LandMate iOS and Android mobile apps (the “App”) and this website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

By using the App or submitting an enquiry through this website, you acknowledge the information practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account information — your name, email address, and sign-in method when you create an account with email and password, Google, or Apple where offered. Authentication is managed by Supabase; we do not receive your Google or Apple password.

Project data — saved estimates, project names, and quantity lists you create within the App.

Usage data — account-linked events such as sign-in, calculators opened, results saved, and exports. These events include the app version and platform and can be turned off in the App's settings.

Technical data — our service providers may process IP addresses and request information when you use the App or website to operate and secure their services.

Billing data — subscription status, store transaction identifiers, trial dates, and billing period dates. See section 6 for details.

Local data — preferences, recent calculator information, and other app settings may be stored on your device using local storage. Calculator information is sent to our servers when you save it to a project.

Website enquiries — the name, email address, subject, and message you submit through our contact form.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the App and your account.
  • Process your subscription and manage billing.
  • Store and sync your saved projects and estimates.
  • Analyse usage patterns to improve the App and fix bugs.
  • Communicate with you about your account, billing, or service changes.
  • Provide customer support.
  • Respond to enquiries submitted through the website contact form.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes beyond transactional communications related to your account and subscription.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

The LandMate website is a landing and support page; it does not provide browser calculators or save calculator inputs. Its contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help prevent spam and Formspree to deliver enquiries. We do not use advertising tracking cookies on the website. You can control cookies and local storage through your browser settings.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your account data and saved projects are stored on cloud servers operated by Supabase. Our hosting provider represents that data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard methods. We rely on the security practices of our third-party providers and do not independently audit their infrastructure.

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include the use of reputable hosting providers, access controls on our systems, and periodic review of our security practices.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

  • Google Sign-In — authentication.
    Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
  • Apple Sign In — authentication.
    Privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy
  • Supabase — database and cloud storage (servers may be located outside Australia, including the United States).
    Privacy policy: supabase.com/privacy
  • Apple App Store — payment processing on iOS.
    Privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy
  • Google Play — payment processing on Android.
    Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
  • Formspree — delivery of enquiries submitted through the website contact form.
    Privacy policy: formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — spam protection for the website contact form.
    Privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these services to understand how they handle your data.

6. Payment & Billing Data

Payment processing is handled by the Apple App Store on iOS and Google Play on Android. LandMate does not receive or store your full credit card numbers or CVVs. Eligible new Apple subscribers may start a 14-day introductory trial through Apple; that subscription begins billing automatically after the trial unless cancelled.

We store billing-related records such as subscription status, platform, store transaction identifiers, trial end date, current billing period dates, and cancellation status. Apple and Google handle payment details and their own purchase records.

LandMate's account-linked subscription records are deleted when you delete your account. Apple, Google and other service providers may keep their own records according to their policies and legal obligations.

7. Cross-Border Data Transfers

Your personal information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries outside of Australia, including the United States, where our third-party service providers operate servers.

In accordance with Australian Privacy Principle 8, before disclosing personal information to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps to ensure that the overseas recipient does not breach the Australian Privacy Principles. We select third-party providers that we believe maintain appropriate security standards, however we cannot guarantee the security practices of overseas recipients.

By using the App, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer of your data to these countries.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Specific retention periods:

  • Account data (name, email) — retained until you delete your account.
  • Project data (estimates, quantity lists) — retained until you delete the project or your account.
  • Account-linked usage events — stored with your account and deleted when your account is deleted; summary statistics that no longer identify you may be kept.
  • LandMate subscription records — stored with your account and deleted when your account is deleted. Store operators keep their own records.
  • Local data (preferences, calculator inputs) — stored on your device and managed by you.

When you delete your account, we remove its data from our active app database. Residual copies may persist in backups or logs for a limited period before being overwritten. Deleting your LandMate account does not cancel a subscription with Apple or Google; cancel it in your store account.

9. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction — request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion — request that we delete your account and associated personal data.
  • Complaint — lodge a complaint if you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the contact form or visit landmateapp.com/support. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

You may also delete your account directly within the App via Settings → Delete Account. Upon deletion, all associated data will be permanently removed from our servers (subject to the retention periods in section 8).

10. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as soon as practicable, in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme under Part IIIC of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Our notification will include the nature of the breach, the types of information involved, and recommended steps you can take to protect yourself.

11. Children’s Privacy

LandMate is intended for people aged 15 years or older, including apprentices. If you are 15 to 17, we handle your account, project and usage information as described in this policy. Please review this policy with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 15. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 15, we will take steps to close it and delete their personal information as soon as practicable, subject to any legal retention requirements. Please contact us if you believe a child under 15 has created an account.

12. Marketing Communications

We do not send unsolicited marketing emails. The only emails you will receive from us are transactional communications related to your account, subscription, billing, and service changes (e.g. payment receipts, subscription confirmations, and material service updates). These communications are not marketing under the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and do not require consent to send.

If we introduce optional marketing communications in the future, we will obtain your express consent (opt-in) before sending them, and you will be able to unsubscribe at any time.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a prominent notice within the App at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised accordingly.

Your continued use of the App after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

14. Complaints

If you believe we have breached your privacy or the Australian Privacy Principles, you may lodge a complaint by contacting us via the contact form. We will investigate your complaint and respond within 30 days.
